Garwyn Oaks Northwest Housing Resource Center (GO Northwest) presents the 5th Annual Northwest Healthy Neighborhoods Community Festival on Saturday, September 22, 2018, 1–5 pm in Hanlon Park, Gwynns Falls Parkway & Longwood Avenue. The festival will celebrate the northwest community showcasing its many assets, including spacious parks, churches, high achieving schools, recreational activities, strong families, community associations and more. The festival will once again be held on the tranquil Gwynns Falls Parkway side, of the park which features huge oak trees, plush grassy areas, and new playground equipment, just a few blocks from Coppin University and Mondawmin Mall.

The 5th Annual Northwest Healthy Neighborhoods Community Festival will promote and highlight the northwest communities of Hanlon, Howard Park, and Garwyn Oaks, and their assets and provide resources to residents that address the health and well-being of our residents and neighborhoods. Special villages will offer information and resources in housing, financial management, health and wellness, and more.

Live music at the festival will include popular ensembles Jimmie & Company, Guy & The 2 O’Clock Club offering A Tribute to Sly Stone, and the St. Veronica’s Pan Orchestra. Hosting the festival stage once again will be WEAA FM’s Your Girl Cheryl. Additional entertainment will be provided by community choirs and youth groups. Food, games, prizes, vendors and a Children’s Village with arts & crafts and games are all set to attract community members, friends, families, visitors, organization supporters, funders and more. Street parking is available and the festival is FREE to the public.
