Healthy Neighborhoods Block Projects

Healthy-Neighborhoods-Block-ProjectBlock projects are small improvements made to the outside of neighbors’ homes, or beautification of shared neighborhood space for community activities or broader community appeal. These projects can be a variety of things, such as new mail boxes, address plaques, planters and solar light posts. Interested residents can contact GO Northwest HRC to help facilitate the planning and implementation of their projects. Residents may get up to $5,000 for their proposed project, in exchange for a little sweat equity and a small donation. Sweat equity (work) and donations are important because those factors equal true participatory contribution and most importantly-community investment!
