Our Healthy Neighborhoods Programs

Baltimore has many outstanding communities. GO Northwest is proud to partner with Healthy Neighborhoods to promote 11 of Baltimore’s best: Ashburton, Callaway-Garrison, Central Forest Park, Concerned Citizens of Forest Park, Dorchester, Forest Park, Forest Park Golf Course, Garwyn Oaks, Hanlon, Howard Park, and West Forest Park.  Healthy Neighborhoods is a partnership of banks, foundations, government and community organizations having a strong belief that Baltimore can be home to many great neighborhoods. Read more about Healthy Neighborhoods.

GO Northwest participates in three areas of the Healthy Neighborhoods program:
The Healthy Neighborhoods Loan Initiative, which provides assistance for homebuyers looking to purchase in our Healthy Neighborhoods communities
• Healthy Neighborhoods Block Projects, which are small improvements made to neighbors’ homes, or beautification of shared neighborhood space for community activities or broader community appeal.
Healthy Neighborhoods Community Engagement, in which GO Northwest partners with residents, schools, and institutions to strengthen and grow community efforts and their impact by supporting neighborhood block and capital beautification projects, organizing community activities and facilitating events.
