• HOUSING COUNSELING
We are a HUD-approved housing counseling agency providing housing counseling for people wishing to purchase a home in Baltimore City. Before you buy, learn about the steps of the home-buying process, the importance of credit, saving money and creating a budget, how to qualify for a mortgage, choosing a home, and what to expect during the closing process.
• IMPORTANT NOTICE
In order to qualify for down payment and closing cost assistance programs, you must complete BOTH a homebuyer workshop (online or in-person) and one-on-one in-person counseling.

YOU WILL NEED TO BRING A COPY OF THE FOLLOWING ITEMS FOR YOUR ONE-ON-ONE COUNSELING SESSION: **Please bring copies of the requested items.**
1. Last month’s pay stubs
2. Last three months of bank statements (checking and savings) ALL ACCOUNTS/ALL PAGES
3. W-2 Forms for last 2 years
4. Tax return for last year
5. Proof of any additional income (SSI, disability, rent, child support, etc.)
6. OPTIONAL: If you are working with a lender then you can bring your pre-approval letter or Loan Estimate
7. Payment for Credit Report (only if you took the in-person workshop)
We must review your credit report during your one-on-one home buying counseling. (Please note: a Credit Karma credit report is not acceptable.) Reports cost $25 for an individual and $45 for a joint report.)

If you do not have the items stated above, you will not be seen for your counseling session and you will have to be rescheduled.
